What To Eat To Whiten Teeth

Everyone is in search of products, chemicals and treatments that will result in them having teeth whiter than ever. And honestly, who does not dream of having pearly whites and a dazzling smile? It is your best asset after all. But little do many of us realize that various chemicals and treatments available to us do little benefit to us and end up ruining our teeth. A tarnished smile is the worst thing that could happen to you!

Rather than falling victim to such outrageous chemical stuff, why not simply adopt an easier way to attain a beautiful smile? The consumption of some delicious fruits and vegetables can actually make your dream of the perfect smile come true. It is funny how no one thinks of the easiest and the cheapest ways first and lunge at the most expensive scheme that throws itself in our faces.

Following are some natural maneuvers to ensure a bright, white smile:

1. Embrace the natural stain removers. Carrots, celery and apples are nature’s very own stain removers. They are a gift to humans with teeth all around the world but unfortunately, we do not invest much thought and consideration their way. When little pieces of them get stuck in our teeth, one might think that a predicament is soon going to be charging their way. However, science is there to console their hygienic concerns. As these pieces find themselves trapped in gaps, the salivary glands are stimulated and they secrete saliva. This saliva, during chewing and eating, helps in primary digestion. Its secondary purpose is to remove the stains that might have been left over the teeth.

2. Barricade your teeth by going green. Green vegetables such as lettuce and spinach and even the slightly nastier broccoli protect teeth in their own way. While you are munching on your greens a veneer is created over the teeth, which plays the role of a stain barrier.

3. Sip, sip and away. The delightful world of drinks and juices are surely heaven to the palette. They are delicious as well as brilliant company to the food we eat. Look out for drinks and juices that tend to stain teeth – tea, blueberries, vinegar red wine, tomato sauce, cranberry juice and grape juice. To successfully combat their stubborn stains and prints, sip a bit of water after eating a few bites of these mentioned devils. They should not be that great a problem after this.

4. If it bubbles, it is trouble. Fizzy drinks are the most infamous culprits of staining teeth since the times of our ancestors and beyond. Turn away from them when they sneak up to your table and ignore them. If they are diet sodas, ignore them still.
