Is Your Toothpaste Really Doing Its Job?

There are many different types of toothpaste available and it is guaranteed that many people buy toothpaste that offers to whiten their teeth. No matter how hard you scrub or how often you clean your teeth you won’t make a difference in color.

Toothpaste-you could go for the popular brand or the most expensive brand of toothpaste that claims to whiten your teeth chances are it won’t make much of a difference. Even if you brush more than twice a day the toothpaste will only remove stains it will not in any way change the color. The toothpaste that supposedly whitens your teeth doesn’t contain those all important bleaching ingredients.

Toothpaste cannot make the teeth whiter but does make them clean.

Teeth whitening- will make the teeth look whiter and brighter. However it will not make any difference to filling, crowns or veneers. This is because the gel contains certain bleach which removes discoloration. A bit like cleaning bleach it can make clothes look brighter and whiter. So if you want a brighter whiter smile do not scrub away at your teeth with tooth paste invest in a teeth whitening kit. Speak to your dentist first as some oral problems can affect the way it works.

The next time you buy your toothpaste you can rest assured you don’t have to waste money on the expensive brand just because it claims to whiten teeth. As long as you brush twice daily you can prevent yellowing of the teeth and remove those stains but it won’t whiten them.

It is advised you see your dentist before you go ahead and whiten your teeth but don’t waste money on expensive tooth pastes as they are not going to work. You are best off using that extra money you save on buying the cheaper brand to invest in some whitening gel, it doesn’t last forever but you can get a few uses from 1 tube.

It is not advised that you whiten a child’s teeth if they need something done you should always see a dentist. Baby teeth will fallout and if you encourage brushing them twice a day yellowing should not occur.
