A process for removing stains from your teeth is called teeth whitening and is also known as bleaching. What this process does is that it bleaches the enamel and dentin and removes the stains off the teeth.
Dentists would normally advise you on the various different methods of whitening your teeth which can be found all over the market. Some of these methods include, laser teeth whitening, OTC whitening products or dentist dispensed at-home products. Quite a few dentists prefer whitening the teeth using a bleaching agent which contains a peroxide chemical and say that it is the best way to get the desired result.
The most simple and economical way to whiten your teeth is by the use of OTC whitening products, there are various different types that you would be able to find but toothpastes, gels and whitening strips that contain peroxide are said to be the most effective in whitening your teeth.
While using Loaded Tray method for teeth whitening, dentists apply the prescribed bleaching gel containing Carbamide Peroxide inside the custom made tray and attach it with the gum. The chemical acts with saliva and releases Hydrogen Peroxide which allows you to see noticeable difference in your teeth after a period of two to three weeks of wearing the tray.
During Laser Teeth whitening, a gel contain Carbamide Peroxide is applied over the teeth and a laser is used to quickly initiate a reaction between the teeth and peroxide. This method is however more expensive than the rest but generally produces faster results.
Another method known as the Blue light method involves using a blue light to initiate a reaction between the hydrogen peroxide which is applied on the teeth and the teeth themselves. The results of this treatment would generally last for a long amount of time, generally for years. People who undergo this procedure are able to see the effects immediately after just a few sittings at the dentist.
