Oxygenating Whitening Toothpaste

Oxygenating whitening toothpastes are typically made of more natural and sometimes even organic products. They can be just as effective at whitening teeth while at the same time upholding a more natural product standard.

Whether it’s an everyday lifestyle or a choice you make in one specific instance, choosing to use natural tooth whitening products can be just as effective as using other products while allowing you to have pride in the choice you’ve made to stick with a more natural product.

Situations will vary however here are some things to consider:

1.  What does oxygenating mean?

Whitening toothpastes with oxygenating ingredients typically refers to a sodium lauryl sulfate free toothpaste with natural anti-tartar and anti-plaque fighting agents.  Usually a Kosher toothpaste, they have a pleasant minty taste and can be effective at both cleaning and whitening your teeth.

2.   Why is it effective in whitening my teeth?

Oxygenating products are effective because they tend be more natural and natural products can be much more effective than other products which may make false claims and could have some negative side effects, having long term problems which, in some cases, could be irreversible.

3.   How do I find products that are oxygenating?

You can check your local department stores and pharmacies; however, you may have to order oxygenating toothpastes online or from your local health food store.  They are a more organic product that isn’t often found in the run of the mill toothpaste aisle.  If you don’t have luck in your local stores, put your effort into finding what you need online.  There are a lot of online stores which offer an array of inexpensive choices, plus manufacturers offer comparison information which can be helpful to you when making the choice which is best for you and your unique tooth whitening needs.

4.   Can I use oxygenating toothpaste with other tooth whitening products?

You can use oxygenating products in conjunction with other tooth whitening products; however, doing so may defeat the purpose of oxygenating toothpaste.  Typically those who use oxygenating products, do so because of the natural and kosher product which is offered.  Be careful when mixing products and make sure you understand each product thoroughly.  Keep an eye out for side effects and discontinue use immediately if use presents a negative effect.

5.   Is it safe for long term use?

Safety in long term use is dependent on the manufacturer.  Read manufacturer directions and give their toll free number a call to speak with them regarding long term use.  You may also want to have a conversation about this with your dentist as he or she may be able to offer you some advice which you weren’t previously aware of.
